Terms of Use
Welcome to BookIt. These terms are the agreement between you and the people who run the service. By using BookIt you accept them, so please read them.
1. Who we are
BookIt (the “Service”) is operated by Kenneth rose Entrepreneurship LLC, a California limited liability company (entity no. B20250220690), 1442 Bahama Way, San Jose, CA 95122, USA (“we”). Contact us any time at support@bookitshop.com.
2. Who may use BookIt
Accounts may only be opened by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over. Children use the Service only under the supervision and responsibility of that parent.
The parent is responsible for all activity in the account, for keeping the password secret, and for giving accurate details. If you think someone else used your account, tell us right away.
3. What the Service includes
BookIt lets you invent characters and stories, get simple drawings, have the book read aloud and save it to your account.
Without a plan, books are read aloud with the device’s own voice and text fixes are basic. A Premium plan adds AI pictures, making a character from a face photo, lifelike AI voices for each character, and automatic spelling and grammar fixes.
We keep improving the Service, so features may change, be added or stop. The Service is provided “as is” and may have errors or temporary outages.
4. AI and outside tools
Pictures, voices and spelling and grammar fixes are made automatically with outside AI tools from Google (Gemini). These tools are not under our control.
So there may be times when the tool is overloaded: a picture may take longer than usual, and sometimes the tool will not make the picture at all and you will be asked to try again later. The provider’s service may also have temporary outages.
Most important: only a picture that was made successfully and reached you counts toward your 300 pictures. A picture that was not made because of load, an error or a block by the tool is not counted and not charged.
Automatic results can be inaccurate, unlike what you described, or unsuitable. Please look over a book before saving or sharing it. Automatic text fixes can be undone with the “Undo fix” button.
5. Premium, price and limits
- Price: $25 for a 31-day period (or the price shown when you buy).
- Each period includes up to 300 AI pictures (characters and pages). Only pictures that are made successfully are counted.
- A period starts on the day you pay (or the day you activate a Premium code). It does not renew automatically, and you will not be charged without a new purchase.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- When you reach 300 pictures or 31 days pass, you can buy a new period that starts on the day of purchase. Unused pictures do not carry over.
- A Premium code is personal and works once. It may not be sold or passed on.
- Without Premium you can still make whole books with the regular drawings.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a purchase as consumer law allows:
- Send a cancellation notice to support@bookitshop.com within 14 days of the purchase or of receiving the purchase details, whichever is later.
- What you buy is a package of 300 AI pictures. So the refund is based on the number of pictures you did not use, not on how many days have passed: the price paid × (unused pictures ÷ 300).
- Examples: if you made no pictures, you get the full amount back. If you made 60 pictures, you get 80% back. If you made all 300 pictures, there is no refund, because the service was fully provided.
- A cancellation fee of up to 5% of the price or ₪100, whichever is lower, may be deducted where Israeli law applies. If the cancellation is due to our fault, no fee is charged, and pictures that failed are never counted.
- Refunds are made through Paddle within 14 days of the cancellation notice, to the same payment method.
- Any other rights you have under the consumer law where you live are not affected.
7. Your content
The stories, characters and books you create belong to you. You give us a limited permission to store, process and display them only so we can run the Service for you.
AI pictures are made for you, and we do not claim ownership of them. Note that the law may not give copyright protection to AI-generated works. The Service is meant for personal and family use.
8. What is not allowed
- Rude words, swearing, and content that is hurtful or not suitable for children. An automatic filter checks text. The first time, the account is paused for 5 minutes. The second time, it is locked until reopened with a code from us.
- Characters, names and books protected by other people’s copyright or trademarks, such as superheroes, movie characters or the titles of famous books. The Service will suggest an original alternative.
- Uploading a photo of another person without their permission. Only upload a photo of your own child or of someone who agreed. Uploading requires ticking a consent box.
- Trying to break into the Service, get around limits, quotas or filters, or use it with automated tools.
9. Our rights
The app, its design, the character Wormi, the code and the basic drawings belong to us and are protected by law. Do not copy them or use them commercially without our written permission.
10. Liability
We work to keep the Service available, safe and accurate, but we do not promise it will always work without errors.
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any damage is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event. This does not limit consumer rights that cannot be waived by law.
11. Closing an account
You can delete your account at any time, in the Privacy Policy inside the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We will update these terms from time to time and show the date of the update here. We will tell you about important changes in the app or by email before they take effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and the competent courts in Santa Clara County, California have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, for example in Israel or the European Union, this does not take away rights that the law where you live gives you, including cancellation rights under consumer protection law.
